GARY HARRIS CYCLES
AEROC CERTIFIED MASTER WHEELBUILDER
Gary Harris
Upon discovering two abandoned bikes near his childhood home, Gary, aged 8, dropped his homework to set about begging and borrowing the tools needed to get them back on the road. Three weeks, and plenty of favours later, Gary wrapped up his project with two broken bikes. You've got to break a few eggs to make an omelette, right?
In the years following, Gary has since built a prestigious reputation within the trade. Gaining experience in all aspects of the industry; from frame building with Tom Avon Cycles to becoming a 'Campagnolo Pro Shop' mechanic, Gary has established a practised eye for building high-end wheelsets.
Now operating alongside the M32 in Hambrook, Gary, alongside his tight-knit team, has the lights on Monday-Saturday to keep the commuters of Bristol moving. As the business has grown, Gary now proudly tells customers "I enjoy a yearly holiday to LA!". That's Long Ashton, for those of us who aren't from "the 'mead".
About
Gary Harris Cycles
Gary Harris Cycles journey began in 2015, a few miles North-West of Cribbs Causeway. Then "Bike Barn", the shop quickly outgrew its surroundings and, captained by Gary and his wife Kim, made the transition to Hambrook. Since 2016, Gary has developed somewhat of a following in North Bristol, supported by over 300 5* reviews, which ensures an ever-present buzz of bike-related chat in the store.
A recent rebranding in 2022 saw Gary Harris Cycles move online, with social media now easily accessible to all of our loyal customers. During this time, a streamlining of our lines means we can now proudly offer a range of Whyte, Merida, Condor, and Thok bicycles (alongside many others). From time-trial to touring, we have the experience and knowhow to build and fit the perfect bike for you. Now proudly supporting Aeroc, we offer customised wheel builds with specifications customised to you. Backed by 45 years of professional experience and Aeroc's industry-leading warranty, we look forward to tailoring your dream wheelset.
Adjacent to the M32 in the village of Hambrook, we are positioned to serve the commuters of North Bristol, alongside our passionate cyclists from further afield. Proudly sponsoring the University of West England, Gary Harris Cycles is passionate about keeping the wheels turning for the fantastic community we are based in. Whether our customers are looking to ride from Crofts End to Kingswood, or Bristol to Berlin, we've got a team of passionate cyclists who can build the right bike for you.
