Tim Wood
Owner Tim has been building wheels for over 25 years. He has built wheels for road bikes, MTB’s, BMX bikes, tandems and wheelchairs. Building a perfect wheel to meet a client's requirement is always satisfying and rewarding.
Many stock wheels will have an incorrect spoke count for an individual’s weight, riding style and discipline; they also use alloy nipples on four-season builds that can quickly corrode, making truing difficult; Aeroc bike wheels overcome this problem. Tim has built wheels for international events, winning National races too. He has also been successfully competing on a time-trial front wheel he built, pairing this with his trusty rear disc wheel.
To raise money for charity, Tim recently rode from Lands End to John O’Groats in four days – not content with the regular 860-mile route, Tim and his companion decided to round it up to 1000 miles, real passion!

Echelon Cycles was formed in 2006 to provide the local community of Pershore and the outlying area with an independent, specialist road bike shop. Building on owner Tim's passion for all thing's road cycling, the shop serves several local clubs as well as individuals and groups of riders. Selling a good selection of bikes, components and accessories, the shop also boasts a thriving workshop, wheel building and bike fitting department. Their small team all share the same commitment; they have extensive knowledge and many years of experience of which they enjoy sharing with their customers. Over the years, they have promoted and sponsored numerous events. Most of their staff still compete (in the veteran’s categories!) with as much enthusiasm as when they were school kids!
